The life of a YouTuber is never easy. Fending off allegations and accusations. Catering to your fans and pandering to your haters. Nobody is ever happy. No YouTuber has it easy. The Ingham Family are no exception.
One minute they are being accused of grooming young fans, the next they are slammed all over the internet for not putting life jackets on their children. The next they are… well being slammed all over the internet for not putting life jackets on their kids.. and their dog.
Chris Ingham rose to notoriety in 2018 when he was accused of – and proven to have – inappropriately messaged children as young as sixteen years of age. Sussex Police confirmed this to be true at the time of the allegations, while Chris Ingham and any other Ingham refused to acknowledge the claims let alone deny them. In addition Ingham also was caught literally with his pants down when his own mother admitted that her boy had slept with a twenty-one year old fan.
A few short years later and The Ingham Family were in the news once again for all the wrong reasons. After taking their four young children onto Loch Lomond with their paddle boards while not wearing life jackets, the backlash was intense as messages and comments from concerned viewers came flooding in. Chris and Sarah Ingham chose to ignore the messages and carried on regardless. One morning, though, a knock on their caravan door sparked an eruption of fury and anger.
Paul Richardson – affectionately dubbed Kayak Paul – gave Chris Ingham the fright of his life when he banged on the door of his caravan disturbing the beauty sleep of his wife Sarah. Kayak Paul, a kayak instructor as well as being a water safety expert in the area, schooled Chris Ingham on how to properly keep his children safe while enjoying the water.
Despite the furore and fall out of the incident which went viral all over the internet and mainstream news, The Ingham Family eventually bowed to public pressure and vowed to always, from that moment forth, to equip their children with suitable gear and buoyancy aids.
Four years on from that particular scandal and The Ingham Family are once again taking unnecessary risks with their children’s lives and this time they have added their dog into the mix. At least two of their children, aged 16 and under were seen on their vlog on their paddle boards without wearing life jackets and no buoyancy aids to be seen. On this occasion they did not risk the wrath of Kayak Paul by swimming in Loch Lomond. Instead they moved further north to Applecross in Strathcarron.
The Ingham Family’s dog Prinny, who had just been reunited with the family after spending months living with Chris’s parents, looked especially concerned as she appeared to seek a way off the paddle board but was frozen to the spot. Prinny did not have a life jacket either.
To further compound matters, The Inghams’ friend who was travelling with them fell off his paddle board and suffered mild panic due to the freezing water temperatures. A perfect example of why it is dangerous especially for children and dogs to be ill-equipped.
Despite the duress they were put under due to their ignorance last time, Chris and Sarah Ingham completely disregarded the safety knowledge they had gained and went back to their old ways, which, let’s face it, is the only way they believe to be for their family.
Pair of idiots how something hasn’t already happend is a miracle get life jackets for you’re children and dog
100% Linda. It was frightening to watch, especially as they’ve already been through the reasons why!
